Jackson 1988
Leigh is a collage based artist who is mainly influenced and inspired by music and the accompanying album covers. His love for music, mainly hip-hop and rap blended with his ideas of wanting his work to be quite raw and textile, is something that blends really together, creating a striking and bold style that makes his work so well
loved, especially by classic hip-hop fans.
For Leigh, it’s really all about using his skills in a creative way that celebrates and shows his respect and love for the authentic hip-hop culture and the artists that make it happen. Taking risks in creative ways is something he enjoys doing, knowing it’s not the end of the world if it doesn’t go to plan and at the end of the day he says “If you're scared of taking chances you will never get the answers.”
It’s a passion that is growing more and more, something that he is proud of and proud to be involved in. Hoping that one day his children will see and hold his work, feeling that pride and knowing that it’s so important to express your feelings and thoughts in different and creative ways; “life's a colourful journey and so is my work and that is what I want them to see really.”
