Mundane Consciousness

Colin Selstrom, known as Mundane Consciousness, or Selström, is a live electronic music, and Visuals artist.

As one of the cofounders of Electric Tentacle, Stoke-on-Trent’s Electronic Music Open Mic (EMOM) night, Alsager Synth Meet, and Modular Curious, and the Concrete stage at Alsager Music Festival, Colin is on a mission to put Stoke-on-Trent on the map for electronic music, by giving grassroots electronic musicians and performers a platform where they can show their true self with artistic freedom in a nonjudgmental and supportive environment.

Colin has performed live electronic music sets and DJ sets himself at festivals, clubs and bars around the UK.

More recently Colin has become a visual artist and VJ, providing live visuals for artists such as: Aphex Twin, Luke Vibert, Tim Reaper, Analogue Electronic Whatever, Dreams of Delvaux, Disastrous Robots, and many others, and for events including Cable Festival, Whatstandwell Festival, Plot Twist.

Many of the analogue audio and video device that Colin uses, he has made or modified himself.
