Over the past week, we have been pushing our upcoming HD Event, but we've also been busy making steady progress with our Portrait Project and getting it out there, in between the usual rigmarole.
Smithfield Works Collab
In other news, we have teamed up with Smithfield Works and our backlog of incredible artist friends by helping to bring local art into the Smithfield Works hot desking areas.
An amazing local artist called David Morrall, who we have known for quite some time now and has in fact had three separate exhibitions with us in the past is our first artist who has out up work in the work space
We have a few carefully created and curated pieces of whimsical art by David that compliment the aesthetic of the space beautiful as well as being able to stand out and get noticed by a new audience, creating intrigue and conversation of the art and the artist himself.
Stoke, Everyday
After a great week with David last week, we worked to started promoting and pushing the project a little more, so we can get more people interested in taking part.
A photo session this week turned into an unexpected photoshoot for a few people in one, it was a lot of fun and everyone was brilliant and we all had a good laugh and a nice brew.
Celebrating International Women's Day
One of our team member Clare White had a spot to do a talk at a local event called Accelerate Action, that was held at Port Vale Football Club by SABLE CIC.
Clare's talk was called "Reflections on 10years of Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity and Ambiguity.
This was an exploration of personal and wider community changes that she has seen and experienced since 2015.
The themes of her talk are also going to be further developed into a presentation at an online research event in May, that we will keep you in the loop about.
Journeyman
There has been some really great progress on this film this week, including a name change too!
Our character development is something we've been working on, especially with regards to our main protagonist
We have been in talks with an award winning company this week, to talk collaboration and production together, we can't say much more yet but we look froward to being able to share soon.
