It’s been a whirlwind of creative energy lately; (so much so I keep forgetting what we've actually done as we're always on the move) from finishing up portraits and to catching up with friends and exploring exciting new plans. There’s been plenty of brainstorming and work going on behind the scenes this week and we can finally start to see some of them come together.

STOKE, EVERYDAY:

  • There' s only a couple of weeks left to jump in on the portrait project if you’re still up for having your photo taken for a book that is representing the community of Stoke on Trent and the awesome people that make it a place of good people and hard workers.

  • We’re wrapping up the final shoots now and we’ve come to end of the project and prepping to get the booked printed in time for Christmas shopping (it would be a great gift - I’m not pushing it all promise)

  • Honestly, it’s going to feel strange once shooting (and the mountain of editing) is completely done as it really has been such a big part of our year.

    CREATIVE CATCH UPS:

  • Eve: plotting and designing her new zines and casually taking over the world one print run at a time (Vienna to the Swiss Alps, she’s on a mission).

  • Wedgwood: letting us peek at his own photobook ideas as well as learning more about his creative journey as a whole (no spoilers here, as it’s going in the portrait book).

  • Alex: classic brainstorming chaos, the kind where everyone leaves with fresh ideas and a head full of keywords and plans as well as veins full of coffee.

EXPLORING AND SUPPORTING NEW PLANS:

  • We were kindly invited by Simon Davis to visit his new space and hear all about his plans to build a creative hub full of cafes and collaborative spaces.

  • The space needs just a little TLC (just a little as you can see), but once it’s done, it’s going to be absolutely amazing.

  • We’re really excited to watch his ideas take shape and see the hub come together and grow; it’s always inspiring to see locals take things into their own hands and just do something good and positive for their city and its people.

NEW PROMO VID ON IT'S WAY:

  • We’re refreshing our promo, by creating a new fancy video and this time our awesome intern is leading the idea.

  • Tasked with creating a video that captures our vibe (including the laughter and the chaos) he’s planning on blending lots of ideas from behind the scenes moments, artwork, and a fly-on-the-wall style.

  • We gave him a quick before and key points to include, but the rest is up to Mitch. He’s bringing his own ideas, his personal inspirations and putting his unique spin on the project, after all it’s what he is with us for.

  • We're grateful and excited as he’s up for the challenge and we’re just here for some help if he asks for it but he’s just going with it and cracking on. We can’t wait to see it all come together, the process is hopefully a fun challenge that he can sink his teeth into. Wish him luck!
