The Blog

It’s been a whirlwind of creative energy lately. There’s been plenty of brainstorming and work going on behind the scenes this week and we can finally start to see some of them come together.

So, as you may have noticed recently, the blog hasn't exactly been on the regular schedule but that's simply because we're up to much mischief. So in order to keep this awesome blog flowing and make the week work well, we’re trying something new. The blog is going to be posted every Monday, instead of Friday. So let's get into it!

You can probably guess that this week has mainly been about getting everything ready for next week but that doesn't, mean it's not been fun and chaotic in the process. That also includes photographing an awesome (slightly mad) band, so get reading and see what madness we get up to when preparing for events.

It's been a wild ride this week, having spoken to and learned about some awesome people. We've been to Gladstone, to Alsager, got stuck (not really in Burslem) and even got some good office work done too. It's probably a little muddled but hopefully it makes enough sense for you to enjoy and read about our week.

It's been one of those weeks where we've been out and about, we've spoken to some awesome people and has honestly hammered home a sense of community that is slowly growing within the city. We've been to lovely nature spaces too, which have been really pleasant to visit and beautiful to photograph too.

This week has been a lot of more preparation for next month more than anything, don't worry we'll share more details soon. However, in between we've been meeting quite a few new people this week and got to enjoy a bit of exploring our local landscapes in the process.

It might feel like we're on the sun but it is still a week with work to be done, we just might be going at a slightly slower pace than normal - and eating more ice cream. Nonetheless it's been a positive and productive week and we've never been so grateful for air con at the Smithfield Works.

A bit of a delay for last/this weeks blog but it's been such a creative and chaotic week, there was not even enough time to write up this post. Also it meant that we got to include the amazing Docile in this blog otherwise that event would've had to wait longer to be put out too. I've tried to keep it summed up and not too long... Enjoy!

The rain definitely hasn't stopped us this week, we've been meeting up with lots of people, making new friends and new future collaborators. We've also been out of the city with our good friend and associate artist Alex and as an added bonus we've got some exciting news to share as well.

This week has been about a lot of brainstorming and a lot of just speaking to people and learning more about their crafts within the creative industry. It's important to take time to speak to people and just get out of the office a little bit.

So to start off, this week's blog will mainly be about our first HD Event that happened last Friday, as it's worth celebrating. As we've tick that event off our list, we've spent time trying to regain our focus on our other plans and getting back into the flow of different projects.

So as you've probably heard by now, we have an awesome event happening later this evening, so if you're on trail of visiting different events going on today, then make sure we're on your trail, we've got art, music, food and good vibes all around, all for free too!

From fine dining to giggles over biscuits, it's been all about networking this week and getting our week back to a steadily manged routine... As well as good food that is.

It has been another week of meeting some really interesting people that are completely new to us, alongside some new admin plans, as you've probably seen!

We've definitely met a lot of interesting people his week, from a local ceramicist to old press photographers and everything in between.

This week has been one of those where we have all been proactive on different tasks and projects. Including a Hot Desking Day Event.

The last week or so, has been very busy, so we've been making sure our crazy pigeons and ducks are all in a row.
