This week has been one of those where we have all been proactive on different tasks and projects. From the archive project to keeping the website up to date, it really has been a mixed bag but a really productive mixed bag.
Stoke-on-Trent College:
We have officially taken on two first year students to help to them complete their work experience in a field that they wish to be a part of as a career.
Amelia is a script writer and is always coming up with new ideas, alongside venturing into other similar strands within the filming industry, such as storyboarding.
Mitchell is someone who is more involved in cinematography and the editing side of film work, alongside using that passion for filming to run social media pages for other businesses like a local football team.
We are over the moon to have two eager people that want to be involved in our organisation and who will hopefully get a proper (if slightly chaotic) insight into the reality of working in the creative industry.
We look forward to getting to know them more as people and also help them to grow as artists, to push them selves as they become more confident as time goes on.
Amelia and Mitchell will be with us to help in growing and progressing our projects we have lined up for the Centenary events this year.
Smithfield Works Collab:
We have been based at the Smithfield Works for some time now and as we're growing, they've been so supportive and accommodating.
We've decided to team up, in order to try and show people where we work and also get a new audience to discover the Smithfield Hot Desking services and office spaces, that we also use.
On Friday 21st March, we are hosting a free hot desking day for people to come and work out of the Smithfield; come to work, network or just say hi to us, there's no pressure, just a warm welcome and unlimited free brews!
There are a limited a number of spaces, so I'd book them while you can but we can always put you on a reserve list for the next event.
