It has been another week of meeting some really interesting people that are completely new to us, alongside some new admin plans, as you've probably seen.
New People:
Thanks to our associate Clare, we met up with herself, Sally (to be on our page soon) and a chap called Linden West.
Linden is a born Stokie that moved out of the city some time ago but still has roots and close family connections in the city. He also wrote a book called Distress in the City based on the fundamental working of the system and mindset of people within the city.
Visiting Stoke, with our good friend Alex, e also had the pleasure of meeting Chris and Christian
Chris is currently making a documentary about the Wheatsheaf music venue in Stoke upon Trent of which Oasis performed in Stoke-On-Trent in the 90's
Christian is an illustrative artist an sticker maker, that designs for different bands and artists; yes he kindly brought stickers to share.
Not technically a new person but we had a great conversation with Dan Waterman (From Carse & Waterman) and one of our students got to talk to him as well, which was great.
Stoke, Everyday:
Slowly becoming a staple in this weekly blog, as this project is making some really nice steady progress.
It's important to keep the progress moving and consistent but without overdoing and ensuring we still have time for other plans and project we're in the process of making.
From University students to studio owners, we've had a good week of photos and learning more incredible stories along the way.
Our new newsletter:
As you may have seen recently, we have launched our first official newsletter , with a proper subscription list and everything!
If you haven't already, I personally think it would be amazing if you joined our mailing list but please bear with us, as we fine tune our plans and details that will go towards our newsletter as well.
We're so excited for this, even though it might just seem like a mailing list, to us, it's proof of us growing and we can't wait to share our ever growing journey with you.
