Old Friends; New Ideas

The numbers are adding up now and we’ve been photographing steadily every week for a while now, which feels amazing.
This week, we got to meet two very different people and two equally important people in terms of their positive impacts on the city.
Like always, we’re not showing you the photos but we will give you a little sneak peek below.

Just by chance, we mentioned to our associate artist, and friend, Alex that we photographed and interviewed an interesting local legend called MC Ragga.
Turns out Ragga was heavily involved involved in the Bomb back in the day with Alex and his brother.
We organised a day for Alex and Ragga to meet and it’s safe to say it went well. They had a brilliant catch up; caught up on life, talked about old friends, and just generally put the world to right while creating beautiful and exciting ideas.

We had a brilliant follow-up meeting with the people at SOT College with regards to future collaborations.
From ESOL based workshops to potential mural plans, it was a very creative and productive meeting with Lisa and Elliot.
They have so much passion for wanting to help students grow confidence through creativity and real life; and we want to help in ways that will have long term positive impacts on their students.

Our artist is a brilliant young painter, who before going to University, will be debuting her beautiful and intriguing artwork on display on our event; what a way to celebrate heading to uni!
Of course, we're also working on the next edition of the zine and how it will link more to the HD event this time too.
Plans and artists are coming together nicely now for our August event and we can't wait to share even more details with you soon.
