We've been to many places in the city this week along with many awesome people that we've met, so this week we're doing more of a shout out on this week's blog. It's important to shout about good people that move forward with purpose and just want to do good and interesting things for the city and beyond.
MERRYFIELDS SCHOOL HIT:
We were recently made aware of a song that has been created by the Jackdaws class at Merryfields School (Newcastle-under-Lyme) as part of their summer term PSHE curriculum. This has been designed to raise money for the school as well as getting more families and the community involved with school support.
Merryfield School is a school that supports children from nursery to year 6, who have special needs. They teach the pupils important skills, by helping them to "nurture a love for learning for life” Home - Merryfields School
This song deserves to be shared and given more love, it’s cute, quirky and will make you smile listening to the children, they’re clearly having a great time putting this together. The song is called Bye Bye Bye and here is the link, so please give it a share so it can be spread far and wide - Bye Bye Bye | Jackdaws

U7 URBAN ARTS:
Thanks to more and more people reaching out to be a part of our photography project, Stoke, Everyday, we recently had the pleasure of meeting a few people who run a cool arts organisation in Longton.
The group is called U7 Urban Arts and it is all about self expression, bringing the community together through art, music and food. Gary, Nat and Sarah are awesome people who clearly carry a lot of passion for their local community and want to keep going and growing.
From exploring themes through artwork to summer holidays activities for families to get involved with. We thought we’d give them shout and spread the joy a little more, click here more info - U7Arts and Cultural Centre - Visit Stoke
JESUS & THE POPE (AT PMAG):
At the potteries centre at the moment, there is a really cool looking installation that has been created by a talented ceramic company called 1882 Ltd alongside the local icon Mr Robbie Williams
The work is all about bringing Rob’s colourful and surreal drawings to life using robust and beautiful ceramics. It was a challenge and full of trial and error but I think it's safe to say it’s worth it.
To have an unusual collaboration, can be the most amazing thing because you get unique and beautiful work like this. It proves that no matter your background, collaboration can be doable and should always be encouraged.
